Dermal Fillers for Men

Structural volume restoration using reversible hyaluronic acid, placed to reinforce angularity rather than introduce roundness.

Last clinically reviewed: August 2026

Dermal fillers restore volume where age or genetics have taken it, using placement that reinforces masculine structure rather than softening it.

Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume beneath the skin. In men the objective is structural: supporting the midface, correcting hollowing under the eyes and restoring definition, without introducing the roundness that feminises a face.

Where fillers are used in men

  • Under-eye hollowing that creates a permanently tired appearance
  • Midface and cheek support, placed laterally to maintain angularity
  • Temple hollowing, which can make the upper face look gaunt
  • Nasolabial folds, treated conservatively to avoid a heavy look
  • Nose reshaping for dorsal irregularities, non-surgically

Jawline and chin work is covered separately on our jawline and chin definition page, as the technique and objectives differ.

Safety and reversibility

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme if the result is not what you wanted, or in the rare event of a complication. That reversibility is a significant safety advantage over permanent fillers, which we do not use.

What we do not doWe do not use permanent or semi-permanent fillers. They cannot be reversed, they migrate over years, and correcting problems caused by them frequently requires surgery. Every filler used at our clinic is a reversible hyaluronic acid product.
  • Full facial assessment before any product is placed
  • Conservative volumes with staged review rather than a single large session
  • Cannula technique in higher-risk areas to reduce vascular complications
  • Reversal agent held on site at all times
  • Written aftercare and a review appointment included

Frequently asked questions

Will fillers make my face look puffy?

Not when volume and placement are correct. Puffiness comes from too much product placed too superficially or too centrally in the face. Male treatment is placed laterally and structurally, in conservative volumes, with review before adding more.

Can fillers be removed?

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme injection. This is one reason we use only reversible products and never permanent fillers.

How long do they last?

Typically nine to eighteen months depending on the product, the area treated and your metabolism. Areas with more movement break product down faster.

Is there much bruising?

Some bruising and swelling is common for a few days, particularly under the eyes. Using a cannula rather than a needle in higher-risk areas reduces this. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements beforehand where medically appropriate.

Are under-eye fillers safe?

The under-eye area requires significant expertise because of the anatomy involved. Treated by an experienced injector using appropriate technique it is a well-established procedure, but it is not an area for a first-time or inexperienced practitioner.
