Skin Boosters for Men

Improving the skin itself rather than its shape. Hydration, texture and elasticity, built gradually across a short course.

Skin boosters improve the quality of the skin itself rather than changing its shape: hydration, texture, elasticity and the way it reflects light.

Unlike structural fillers, boosters are placed superficially and spread through the dermis rather than holding a shape. They work by drawing water into the tissue and stimulating the skin's own collagen production over subsequent weeks.

Who they suit

  • Skin that looks dull, tired or dehydrated despite good routine
  • Fine crepey texture around the eyes and on the cheeks
  • Sun damage and loss of elasticity from outdoor work or sport
  • Smokers and ex-smokers with dehydrated, greyish skin tone
  • Men who want visible improvement without any change in facial shape

Boosters pair well with anti-wrinkle treatment, which addresses dynamic lines while boosters address surface quality.

Treatment course

  1. Session oneInitial treatment across the target area.
  2. Session twoFour weeks later, building the effect.
  3. Session threeA further four weeks on, completing the initial course.
  4. MaintenanceOne session every six months to sustain results.

Improvement is gradual and cumulative. Most men notice the difference in how their skin looks in photographs around six to eight weeks after starting.

Frequently asked questions

How are skin boosters different from fillers?

Fillers are placed deeper and hold a shape to add volume. Boosters are placed superficially, spread through the dermis and improve skin quality without changing contours. Different products, different purpose.

How many sessions do I need?

Usually three sessions four weeks apart for the initial course, then maintenance every six months.

Is there downtime?

Small raised bumps at injection points are visible for up to twenty four hours, occasionally longer. Mild bruising is possible. Most men are comfortable in the office the following day.

Will it help acne scarring?

Boosters improve overall texture and hydration but are not a primary treatment for established scarring. For that, see our acne scar treatment page.
